The 23-year-old left-back was bought from Rayo Vallecano for €5m fee by triggering the buy-back clause.
“Real Madrid C. F. and Rayo Vallecano have agreed to the transfer of player Fran García, who is linked to the club for the next four seasons,” the club said in an official announcement.
"Fran García belonged to the Real Madrid youth academy from 2013, where he arrived at the age of 14, until 2020.
"He played two seasons at Castilla and debuted with the first team of Real Madrid in 2018.
"On Monday, June 12, at 12:00 p.m. in Ciudad Real Madrid, the presentation of Fran García as the new Real Madrid player will take place.
"Then, Fran García will appear before the media.”
The Spaniard was sold to Rayo for €2m fee in 2021 with a buy-back clause. Garcia was also named the player of the season 2022/23 of Rayo Vallecano.
The 23-year-old made five goal-scoring contributions in La Liga 2022/23 with two goals and three assists. He scored a goal against FC Barcelona in a 2-1 victory and against Atletico Madrid in a 2-1 loss at home.
Meanwhile, he also provided an assist against Los Blancos as his Rayo beat the visitors 3-2 on November 11, 2022.
Earlier, Jude Bellingham completed medical tests as a Real Madrid player on Thursday (June 8) while also signing a contract till 2029 according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Madrid, who parted ways with Karim Benzema, Mariano Diaz, Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio will be looking forward to signing attackers to strengthen their squad.
Brahim Diaz, who went to AC Milan on loan will also re-join the club in a few days. The Whites plan on presenting him as a Madrid player on Tuesday (June 13).
It must be noted that Madrid are also not happy with their left-back situation. Despite completing the signing of Garcia, the club will try to sign Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies either this year or in 2024.
